ENTREPRENEURSHIP DAY

Entrepreneurship Day was held at the MDI Murshidabad campus on 16th November, 2016. The plaque to commemorate the occasion was unveiled by dignitaries representing the MCC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI). The event was inaugurated by our Director Professor Dr Gurudas Gupta, and commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp.

The MCCI dignitaries included Mr Samir Saraff – Chairman, Standing Committee on Education MCCI, CA Smarajit Mitra – Co-Chairman, Standing Committee on Banking, Finance & Insurance MCCI, Mr Subhasis Roy – Assistant Director General MCCI and Mr Abhijit Sarkar- Partner & Advisor at Training Co. There was free interaction between the dignitaries and the students, and many aspects of entrepreneurship, including empowering local women entrepreneurs, was touched upon.

The outcome of the event was very encouraging:

• An Entrepreneurship Cell would be set up in the Institute, and the same will be mentored by MCCI
• MCCI has urged our students to submit business plans
