Be a Change leader for a near Utopian Society. Take a pledge this Republic day.
The preamble of the Indian Constitution states, “WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a SOVEREIGN, SOCIALIST, SECULAR, DEMOCRATIC, REPUBLIC and to secure to all its citizens JUSTICE, social, economic and political; LIBERTY of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship; EQUALITY of status and of opportunity; and to promote among them all FRATERNITY assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation…”. This message needs to be reminded every time we lose track of our ultimate goal, that is, collective welfare.
On the occasion of 71st Republic Day, Director of MDI Murshidabad Professor (Dr.) Atmanand unfurled the national flag along with “unfurling” his message (to the students) of inculcating the habit of being meticulous and disciplined. He said that the nation requires seriousness, and until and unless the “leaders of tomorrow” are going to be hardworking, meticulous and disciplined, the goal of a near Utopian society (as reflected in our constitution) will be lost. The director emphasized on the role of academia towards cultivating great thought leaders and change masters.
