Behavioural Finance Workshop

A Two-Day Online Workshop on Behavioural Finance by Prof Sanjay Bakshi, organized by Finartha – the Finance club of MDI Murshidabad under the guidance of Dr. Debaditya Mohanti, took place on the 5th and 8th of February, 2021.

The workshop provided-

• A holistic overview of behavioural finance and its branches.
• What are behavioural biases and how cognitive dissonance effect decision making and how through awareness one can counter those beliefs.
• How bad incentive based behaviour leads to downfall on a personal level.
• The role of mindset in making investment decisions.
• Looking at businesses beyond the fancy annotations attached to it.
• What is Excessive leverage? How it can be a double-edged sword and the devastation it can cause to a business.

The learnings provided by Prof Sanjay Bakshi Sir were of great help enabling the students of MDI-M with a better understanding of business as a whole and help them take wiser decisions in the future.
