Convocation 2022

On June 15th 2022, MDI Murshidabad and MDI Gurgaon conjointly held the 2022 convocation ceremony at the Gurgaon campus and conferred 646 PGDM students. Sanjiv Mehta, the CEO and Managing Director of Hindustan Unilever Limited, was kind enough to be the chief guest for this annual ceremony. Prof. (Dr.) Atmanand, Director-MDI Murshidabad, joined the ceremony along with the Director-MDI Gurgaon, Deans, faculty, and staff of both the campuses.

Addressing the students, Mr. Mehta urged the students to be brave and act right. “Always do the harder right than the easier wrong. When the crowd goes one way, you have the right to go the other way. Humility is intertwined with ambition. I call it humbition.” He also said, “Not to fear failures in life. What matters is the resilience you demonstrate to bounce back from failures”.

While addressing the gathering, Prof. (Dr.) Atmanand, Director of MDI Murshidabad, said that MDIM is collaborating with institutions of excellence worldwide to conduct joint research, programmes, and conferences. He also applauded the significant all-round progress MDIM achieved in the past year. MDIM saw a phenomenally spectacular final placement for the batch of 2020-22 in record time. He mentioned that CRISIL, the premier rating agency graded MDIM as A** (double star) at National Level and A*** (A triple star) at State Level for the year 2021-22. He apprised that the four Centers of Excellence of MDIM namely Centre for Agri-Business & Food Processing, Entrepreneurship & Startups, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, and the MDIM Case Research Centre (MDIMCRC) not only expanded the research perspectives of students but also marked the beginning of a new era and a transformed Industry 5.0 in the making.
