Management Development Programme

Sustainable Leadership and Management Practices

MDI Murshidabad successfully commenced a Management Development Programme (MDP) on “Sustainable leadership and Management Practices” for the members of Gorkha territorial administration. Five days training program was successfully conducted at MDI Murshidabad Campus, 18-22 December, 2024. Total participants for the programme are 28.
The program had a four-pronged objective which are imparting effective people management skills, skills in managing resources effectively through self-sufficiency and monitoring, developing perspective to achieve the sustainable practices among community members and fostering marketing skills to communicate the community development programs. Lastly, it also aimed at generating awareness about work ethics and human values among trainees to ensure the smooth and effective governance of the community.
The experiential learning exercises along with field visit will enable the participants to reflect and cultivate sustainable leadership skills and effective managerial practices. The well curated course design stresses on application-based exercises and interactive sessions to accelerate the trainees’ learning curve. The Programme Directors of the Programme are Dr. Niharika Gaan and Dr. Amrita Sengupta.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. Debashis Chanda, Dean (Academic) MDI Murshidabad, Dr.Niharika Gaan, Chairperson-Continuous Education & Programme Director, Dr. Amrita Sengupta, Programme Director, in august presence of Md. Samsur Rahman, WBCS (Exe.), Addl. District Magistrate (ZP), Murshidabad, Smt. Ekam J. Singh, (IAS)SDO Jangipur, Murshidabad ,Shri. Rajarshi Nath, WBCS (Exe.) DP & RDO, Murshidabad.
