MDI Murshidabad was proud to conduct the 5th edition of its corporate talk series Vicarana on the 24th of November. This year’s topic of discussion was “Glocalisation: Think Global, Go Local”. We witnessed the presence of following personalities on our campus

GM, Vodafone & Idea

He threw some light on the Vodafone-Idea merger and the factors behind such an endeavour. He also talked the about synergy at all levels, an important factor for a merger.

MD & CEO, Kolkata Ventures

He addressed the millionaire mind-set that budding entrepreneurs should have and how should one promote it. He also talked about flexibility and freedom in business and the power of networking in a gift economy.

He talked about how the meaning of the word entrepreneurship was broad in itself and the key to an innovative idea was to listen to what the people want and then create solutions to satisfy those needs.

He talked about the impact of “Glocalisation” in a business-tobusiness perspective. He said that organisations need to focus on the cultural differences in various countries and how their consumption patterns vary with respect to religion, geography and demographics.
