Covid-19 has exposed the soft underbelly of businesses across industries. The so-called “agile businesses” have clearly been pushed to the limits, and left many of them completely out of depth. Given that we can’t possibly predict such “black swan” events, let along controlling them, what can we do to mitigate their impact? Is the conventional notions of agility enough to fortify a business, or do we need to take the next big steps to make them antifragile? In this talk, I will examine the recent challenges and identify key insights that could help make a business antifragile.
